Hello, All and welcome to the new school year! This will be one for the books, I'm sure. With the help of present and past ETHS Fine Arts faculty, my goal is to make this year as close to a "normal" choir experience as possible. Although present day technology doesn't support truly live singing, we're all watching the science of singing very closely. If you really want to dig into the research, results from a nationwide study have been released here.
That being said, I'm SO excited to get started! After reading some of your survey responses and spending a lot of time thinking about music, I know we're going to have a great year.
To those of you that are veterans of the program, I know how hard it is to go through a big change, and the added stress of a global pandemic makes things even harder. I will be relying on your leadership and communication as we get to know each other. To incoming first years and those of you new to ETHS Choirs, your input and ideas are what will make this program grow. Together, we can support and lift each other up throughout this year as we take new changes in stride. Please know that I am always prepared to be a listening ear. I can't wait to meet all of you and to hear your voices!
