About
Evanston Township High School is home to three curricular choirs and several extra-curricular vocal ensembles. All ensembles focus on variety and authenticity in music performance, historical and cultural context and validity, and skill development in music theory.
Chorale
Chorale is an entry level choral ensemble with no audition requirement. Singers in Chorale participate in all school performances as well as occasional community outreach performances and trips. Chorale is open to all grade levels and all vocal ranges and types.
Concert Choir
Concert Choir is an auditioned choral ensemble open to all grade levels and voices. Singers in Concert Choir participate in all school performances as well as occasional community outreach performances, trips, and tours. Singers are also encouraged to audition for external opportunities.
Advanced Vocal Ensemble
Advanced Choral Ensemble (AVE) is an auditioned ensemble open to 10th-12th graders at ETHS. Singers in AVE participate in a variety of performances throughout the year, including all school performances. Singers are also encouraged to audition for external opportunities and serve as leaders in and ambassadors of the choral program.
